Description:
Educational activities at the Biennial for Art and Urban Nature reconnecting.earth (02) - Beyond Water in the Rade de Genève: Arts, Natural Sciences, Geography, Interdependencies, target audience: 3P - 8P
Organized by (re)connecting.earth, in conjunction with various artistic and environmental institutions and associations, the Biennial will highlight the theme of water and biodiversity around Lake Geneva. The event will take place around the Rade from September 1 to October 1, 2023. It will showcase works by 25 local and international artists, serving as a starting point for educational and mediation programs, promoting awareness of urban biodiversity and valorizing individual and collective creation.
In this context, interactive workshops and guided tours will be offered to junior classes (3P-8P) at the Bains des Pâquis. Two different programs will be offered, depending on the grade.
Workshops last 75 minutes. Students and teachers will be welcomed by the organizers directly at the Bains des Pâquis (free admission for classes), at the (re)connecting.earth stand.
This programm has been realized in collaboration with the Département de l'instruction publique (DIP)
→ For primary and secondary I and II classes: educational kit
The kit offers an introduction to the Biennial through two 90' itineraries, on each shore of the lake. Descriptions of the works are complemented by background information on Lake Geneva and its biodiversity.
